In June of this year, my husband (Brandon) and I got married. Since neither of us had been out of the country we decided to take a nice honeymoon to Rivera Maya, Mexico. Brandon had never even flown before! Granted I had only flown myself since 2010, I've flown quite a bit. The biggest thing that I was concerned about was going through customs and immigration since I had never done it before. Thank goodness I used to be a travel agent and I knew the in's and out's about how it worked. So I put on my big girl panties and got us both through customs and into Mexico! It was such a great week there! We stayed at the Hard Rock Rivera Maya - Heaven Section (aka - Adults Only side of the resort). It was all inclusive meaning that all our drinks and meals were already included. Truly this is the BEST way to travel in our opinion! We didn't have to worry if we had enough money for anything and they even give you a resort credit to use on tours, spa treatments, and several other things! You only have to pay 20% taxes on it, which in the end really isn't that much considering how much those tours and spa treatments cost regularly. Instead of $300 per person, we would only pay out of pocket 20% of that! The resort credit would pay the rest!
Why am I telling you all about this? Well, practically as soon as we got back from that trip, we booked our second trip out of the country. However this time it was a cruise. Shiprocked cruise to be exact! It leaves in January, and heads to the Turks and Caicos! It's a week long with many, many, many bands on board as well. Hence the name Shiprocked! Being that we are rock lovers, this was a no brainer! An old friend of mine from high school, Sam, lives in Florida and wanted to go too, so us 3 are sharing a cabin. She's into rock music, tattoos, and having fun just as much as we are so it's a great match for all of us. Some of the bands that are going to be on the ship are: Sevendust, Breaking Benjamin, Avatar, Lacy Sturm (formally of flyleaf), Papa Roach, Altar Bridge, and so many more! They actually hang out on the ship for the whole week (unless they have other things to attend/scheduling conflicts) and apparently it's an experience of a lifetime! I don't know how many of you like rock music or concerts, but if you do, believe me this is a dream come true! I wish there were more bands that I could see that I haven't seen before, however, we are VERY excited about this trip!

Although it's just a week long, I feel like we are in for a full week of fun and me personally being overtired because I'm going to have to push myself to stay awake longer then I normally am. Believe it or not, I like to go to bed at 10pm everynight, not just weeknights! Talk about "old lady"!!
Comment below your favorite bands that you like to see live or would like to see live!
I leave you with the 2017 line up -- HAPPY SHIPROCKED EVERYONE!
